How it all began: the PARAX story
It all starts in a flat share in Cologne: Torben is looking for a wall mount for his road bike that doesn't just hold it, but also looks good – and can't find one. So he brings his best friend Frido in Berlin on board. At FabLab Berlin, the two of them develop the first prototype in 2015, which becomes the D-RACK. In 2016, with the help of 127 backers on Kickstarter, it goes into production. Today we are a team of five at PARAX GmbH, developing and making six wall mounts in our workshop in Bönen – and we still love tinkering with new ideas.
Production Made in Germany
We care about knowing where and how our mounts are made. That's why we make our bike wall mounts from wood and aluminium in small batches, handmade in Germany and as close to home as possible: in our workshop in Bönen we work the wood, build drilling templates, pack the screw bags, apply our logo and pack every mount without plastic. The metal parts come from partner workshops no more than 150 kilometres away.
For materials, we rely on solid oak, birch and veneered plywood, anodised aluminium and powder-coated steel. To keep your frame free of scratches, it rests on felt, silicone or cord – on the TWIN STICKS, on bike inner tubes. That way your road bike, gravel bike, MTB or e-bike hangs safely in your flat; the T-RACK can also go on a sheltered outside wall.

Working at PARAX
We want to make good products at a fair price – responsibly and in Germany. It isn't always the easiest path, but it is exactly the standard we hold ourselves to. That's why we are building PARAX step by step, automating whatever takes routine work off our hands, and trying out how work can suit us better than the classic nine-to-five.
