FAQ

What makes the D-RACK special?

The D-RACK is our design bike mount with a solid aluminum body milled on a 5-axis CNC machine. The subsequent anodizing refines the surface. The material quality and precise craftsmanship are noticeable as soon as you touch it.

Besides its distinctive shape, the D-RACK offers a special feature: with the included drilling template, you can hang bikes with a slightly sloping top tube so that they look level.

Which bikes is the D-RACK suitable for?

The D-RACK is suitable for bikes with a straight or slightly sloping top tube, up to a maximum slope of 10°. The frame must be able to rest securely on the silicone pad.

In addition, limits apply for handlebar width and bike weight: size M is suitable for handlebars up to 52 cm, size L up to 66 cm. The bike may weigh no more than 20 kg.

For steeply sloping top tubes or bikes without a suitable top tube, other mounts from our range are an option, for example the U-RACK.

How does the visually level hanging work with a sloping top tube?

The angle compensation is set when you mark and mount the holder. With the included drilling template and its pendulum, you align the mount to match the slope of the top tube.

The adjustment is continuous within the intended range of up to 10°. This way, your bike can hang looking level despite a slightly sloping top tube.

This is an alignment made during installation, not an automatic adjustment when you place the bike on the mount. Our mounting instructions show the individual steps.

Which size do I need?

Choose size M for a handlebar width up to 52 cm and size L for a handlebar width up to 66 cm.

Measure the entire outer width at the widest point of the handlebar. On road bike handlebars, this can be the flared drops. Also take into account add-on parts that need extra distance from the wall.

Before mounting, also check the frame shape and top tube slope using our dimension drawing and mounting instructions.

Is the D-RACK suitable for carbon frames?

Yes, carbon frames are generally suitable. The silicone pad protects the contact surfaces between frame and mount.

What matters is that the frame rests securely and that frame shape, top tube slope, handlebar width and weight are compatible with the D-RACK. Make sure no cables or protruding parts get pinched.

How much weight can the D-RACK hold?

The maximum bike weight is 20 kg. This limit applies to both sizes.

This requires a wall with sufficient load-bearing capacity and a suitable anchor. The load rating of the mount does not replace checking the wall and fastening.

Is the wooden front included?

If you choose a variant with a wooden front, it is included. You can choose between the available versions in olive wood and Kebony wood.

With a variant without a wooden front, you get the D-RACK with its visible aluminum surface. The wooden front changes the look; the maximum load capacity stays the same.

Can I mount the D-RACK on a plasterboard wall?

That depends on the wall construction and the anchor you choose. Before mounting, check whether both can safely handle the bike's weight and the forces involved.

For suitable hollow walls, appropriate metal cavity anchors are an option, for example. The supplied wall plugs may only be used if they are suitable for your wall.

If you are specifically looking for a mount for plasterboard, the U-RACK is the better choice within our range: its design creates a lower pull-out load on the anchors.

Can I reorder wooden fronts and a different-colored frame protector individually later?

Wooden fronts can also be ordered later. Simply get in touch with us by email and we will send you a corresponding quote and an invoice.

The frame protector is firmly bonded with silicone to protect your bike. For this reason, replacing it later is unfortunately not possible.

What is the best way to clean the D-RACK?

The D-RACK is easy to clean with a dry microfiber cloth. If you want to use cleaning products, test them on an inconspicuous spot first.

Is the D-RACK also suitable for square top tubes?

Yes, bikes with angular top tubes can also be placed on the D-RACK without any problems.
